The world has changed so drastically, and so fast that I can't keep up with all the changes happening in a world I don't understand anymore. I feel like I don't belong in this present day. Did my parents feel the same way at some point in their life? Why do so many people hate our country now? Why do our kids despise high moral values and unity in our country? What happened to demonstrating respect for others...ALL others. Not just specialized colors, religion or culture. Why are white people ostrisized now for behaving the exact same way those who condemn them are doing now? Why don't people understand that hard work and responsibility earns much more than money and a livelihood but, self-sufficiency and dignity. Why is it wrong to encourage people to work for what they want or have and not shame people into wanting to take pride instead of a hand out? Why do people cry about being on welfare or having food stamps and living in government housing instead of working hard for their own future and making a way for the self. Nothing worth having comes easy. Why don't people understand that there will always be loser and people that don't win but, they don't have to be that person. Why don't people understand about inflation and you can't just print money and hand it out for free.
What have we done to this generation? What have the teachers been teaching our kids? Who's been paying attention to the kids while we had our priorities all fucked up and worked to have more and more and more? Who's been minding the store while we were self absorbed in our own personal success.
